Abstract

A portable timelapse aerial photographic camera system was adapted to record carcass removal by scavengers. The system, which will take photographs at adjustable pre-determined intervals during daylight and darkness regardless of temperature, is described and plans for its assembly are given. Results of scavenging on 4 carcasses are described including species scavenging and average daily removal rate.
