Tracks in partially cut areas were 3X as numerous as in uncut spruce and 13x as numerous as in jackpine; however, entirely cut and lightly cut areas did not show significantly more tracks than uncut spruce. Possible ectone effects were suggested by increased tracking near lakes, streams and roads in uncut forests and by some high counts in spruce adjacent to cut areas.</p> ER -
