We conducted the study in 1992 and 1993 in the Robertsfors area, in northern Sweden. A total of 50 animals (29 in 1992 and 21 in 1993) were located by radio tracking twice a day. All moose displayed a significantly higher rate of movement during the day than night regardless of hunting activity (P &lt; 0.001). Intense hunting activity affected the rate of movement of moose where cows with twins showed the most pronounced effect in this study. They increased (P &lt; 0.05) their movement during day the intense hunting period. No correlation was established between movement and hunting mortality.</p> ER -
